It could be that I've built too many (HERESY!!  : ) kits...

I didn't have a place for the S.E.X. kit at home anymore so I dragged it over to the office.  Hooked up an old PC, put the new but lesser of the Dragonfly's on it and stream via Media Monkey.  Speakers are Realistic Minimus 7's with crossovers rebuilt.  Those are Pearl tube coolers on the 6DN7's.

I just sit and grin sometimes.  I had the Pass Amp Camp Amp (upgrades all over the place in it) in here prior with the same setup.  S.E.X. is better than amp camp (even if you do have a flute.  )

Karl - what are those things on your tubes?  Those look very interesting...  8)

I think they are called Tube Crowns from Mapleshade. (No affiliation, just a lot of their stuff) They are brass dampeners with 3 point contact, they make several sizes and come with ground ribbons. I can tell you the smaller pair I use on my Quickie do a very good job of controlling the microphonics.
