my eros/stereomourII

It was hard looking at my StereomourII going unused, but I finally finished my speakers.  Great Plains Audio 604 8h-III in six cubic foot double chamber reflex enclosures.  I would have made them 9 ft cubed, but my beloved drew the line.

I have the preamp out from my home theater receiver going into the stereomourII so I still can run my satellite and HTPC through the stereomour.  The Eros uses its own input for a pure tube/analog path for my vinyl.

Sounds great so far!  When I'm confident that my build is stable, I'll add the MourQuiet.  There is a touch of 120 Hz hum that the hum pots don't quite eliminate.  Otherwise, it seems perfect!

Thanks to Doc and all for the information and support I received before and during my builds!  And thanks for creating such great kits!

Very nice! If the hum proves to be a problem you might consider the DC filament upgrade kit. Do you know the sensitivity of those speakers?

The speakers are said to be 98db/w/m  ( http://www.greatplainsaudio.com/downloads/604_8H_III.pdf ).  I did mean to say DC filament supply when I said mourquiet though.  I have both upgrades.  I see that the DC filament supply is recommended for speakers above 96 db.
