Damn...  I love your speaker stands.  Is that acoustic art (some sort of diffusion panel) in the background?

Thanks.
Yes, they are diffusors (diy one)
Speaker stands is diy from mdf.

Perfect harmony,
Soundstage is depth and width and not on the hill on the opposite.
Balanced bass, mid and treble...
Personally, I love crack amp and  Sennheiser HD800..

I know I am wandering OT.

How are you liking the Audio Engine A5 speakers? I am currently using some older Cambridge Sound Works 2.1 multi media units in one system and wondering if the Audio Engine might be an "up" toward "real" speakers.

As I can see your taste in Bottlehead and Sennheiser I would give your view more weight then some random review comment on Amazon.

I didn't listen to Cambridge Sound Works speaker, I cannot know the difference between Cambridge Sound Works and Audio Engine A5. But I am really satisfied with Audio Engine A5 active speakers.

Thanks! My CSW speakers date from when Henry Kloss was doing the designs so they are not the current units. They sound rather good for what they are but can be "run out of steam" if the going gets too loud or complex.....and they are over ten years old and not going to last forever.

I sold my Audioengine active A5 Speakers and Benchmark  dac1 USB.
I bought a Hegel hd20 DAC.

There are now only headphone system

MidasTube Dampers  is located on the driver tube .
