Finally got the Hammond case painted for the Quicksand.  Some mods were made but you really should build this stock first.  It's very open and easy to modify after the fact.



The guts:


Board mods:
Turned the output caps sideways and tipped them.  If you're going to use a Hammond 2" deep box you have to reposition those stovepipes.  Replaced the input caps and under the board is another film cap across the battery supply.

I know it doesn't look like much under the hood but the sound quality coming out of this is very satisfying.  Yes, you can spend more and get better sound but on the bang for the buck scale this pair is amazing!

Those are looking good.  The odds of you getting two red plates is very, very low!

If it's feasible when they are ordered together, I try to match them. Note that the operative word there is "try." If it comes down to shipping kits or wait until I have matched colors, I will ship kits.
