misadventure while doing build…to replace or not to replace part? Doc or Paul?

I managed to chip or scallop a small part of the body of a 150K resistor at the R2B position of the Moreplay upgrade kit after I soldered it in place. Argh.

It looks like a divot or small superficial scoop that may have exposed an edge or corner of a plate(?) inside the resistor near one end. It might even be the edge of a color band. First time I’ve marred a component while/after stuffing a board. FWIW I use rounded conical tipped mini “needle” nosed pliers for board work.

I tested both soldered resistors at the R2B and R2C position for resistance and they both measured 75.2 if this info is useful or meaningful.

Should this be removed before I proceed? I haven’t really ever had to de-solder much of anything in my prior builds. I’ll see what I can find regarding de-solder/re-solder in the build videos if minds wiser than I (and not as clumsy 🙄) think this component should be replaced.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Doc.
I’ll keep this on a possible suspect list if my results go sideways in the end.
Appreciate ya’.

I would definitely leave it.  You're somewhat likely to damage the board, and a little chip out of the body of the resistor isn't going to cause any problems.

Paul,
My thoughts exactly.
You gotta know when to hold ‘em, and when to fold ‘em.
I appreciate the advice.
