Just wanted to post my finished Cack project, as seen with the stock Doc supplied NOS tubes and also a RCA 6AS7 output tube.  Finished the kit over a month ago but I've been too engaged listening & enjoying the music...so,  finally got around to posting some pictures.  Top plate is powder coated white and bell also is powder coated in satin black. Currently using a RCA clear top 12AU7 with the RCA 6AS7. As for the sound, with my Beyer dynamic DT880's (600_ohm)....Super sweet!!  highs are smooth airy & detailed,

That is a nice clean build.  You haven't lost anything in the intervening 35 years.

Thanks Grainger.....appreciate your comment....been meaning to get back to it (kit building) for some time now, but time just passes so quickly; after talking to Doc decided to take the plunge..&..glad I did !

Doc is an exceptionally nice guy and he designs/sells some top notch equipment.  I can't recommend the site and community enough.
