Hum pot position after DC heater upgrade

Hi,

I have upgraded my Stereomour II with shunt regulator and DC volume upgrade. As expected, no hum whatsoever, even if instead of speakers I try STAX transformer with STAX headphones. Excelent work on the circuit guys!

Now I don't know what is the right position for the hum pots. Do they play any role? I twist them from left to right, but I can't pinpoint any sound difference now.

Is there a "correct" position for them, even if I can't figure it out. Is it fully to the right or fully to the left?

I would suggest just leaving them in the middle, which is the equivalent of how we would likely adjust the circuit if they were to be removed.
