Help Needed!

I was not in the mood to shell out 85$ for a cable kit and so I found the same exact plugs and shielding to buy to make my own and save a little money. I ordered the 20 awg silver stranded teflon wire from tubedepot, but when it showed up it seemed thin compare to the 20 awg wire included in the Crack kit. Is it ok to use this wire? Will it sound worse? (There is an image attached).
