HE-500 and SEX or Mainline?

I have a Quickie on the way to try with my current Asgard/Bifrost and Emotive Mini-x setups but am looking down the road a bit and getting a SEX or Mainline to work with the He-500 (or maybe HE6 in the future). Is one any better sounding with the HE-500? I find that while the Asgard/Bifrost works it is thin sounding to me- disappointing. I would like to warm up the sound a bit.

The HE-500 are advertised as working out of "normal headphone amplifiers", and the Mainline has about double the power into 32 Ohms as other solid state amps that I see being evaluated in a thread over at Headfi.

How do the SEX and Mainline compare in output at 38 Ohms (HiFIMan's spec for HE-500) though. I am trying to decide between the two.

The Mainline will make 600mW at 38 Ohms.

The SEX will make something like 800-1000mW at 38 Ohms on the 16 Ohm taps.
