So is standing in the corner the same as timeout?

I think 'this' post puts me over newbie status on the Bottlehead Forum

Craig,

It was certainly the 1950s version of time out.  Since I haven't seen a time out, I don't have children and they would be in thier 40s now even if I had had any, I don't know if in "time out" you are just sent to your room or stand in a corner like I used to do.

You can tell if you had to do ALOT of standing in the corner, IF they gave a personalized white conehat that said GRAINGER on it.....

I thought it was that my face fit neatly in the 90 degree corner.

I want to be clear, standing in the corner happened at home.  At school I was sent to see the Principal.

hahaha, you had it easy, I had to face the class, so as to have to look at everyones expressions... and you know you have reached veteran status, when you find yourself talking to the corner like an old friend!... and then you know when you have made WAY too many trips to the corner???  you start answering the corner BACK!!!!!! :)

Yah, I know, this isn't subject related, but I just had to confess that we all need a little help from the 'bottle'    pun intended
