First Build - Crack!

Hello everyone,

For the longest time I've wanted to build a Bottlehead amplifier, and now I've completed my first build. I was more than happy with shipping time as my kit arrived on a Friday, and I thought it would be the week after! So I quickly got to work and finished the build that weekend.

Stock configuration passed all checks great.
Listened for 3 hours and couldn't help but to install the Speedball.
All checks passed - Sounds great!

Tube rolled:
1962 Phillips Miniwatt ECC82
Svetlana 6AS7G/6H13C

Definitely researching the right components to purchase for my modding adventures, which I'm sure will come soon enough.

Thanks BH crew - great product/kit :)

Happy listening,

~Turbo

Are you using your 4' X 6' TV screen as a light source??  Nice neat build, neatness always makes a build less complicated.

I see that someone at Bottlehead has finally figured out that the C4S in the Crack only needs to be a single board.  How about figuring out that the Crack top plate needs to be the same size (10" x 8")as the S.E.X. amp.  ;D ;D

It definitely can be a light source! haha

Thank you!

I see your avatar, btw. Very nice build! I hope to achieve my own version of the crack at that level, dang!
