I have a couple of these. Are they any use to anybody for tube stuff??

I don't know if you still have these, but I could really use one. How much do you want for it? I bought a cheap one, but it is unreliable, so I'm looking for something better that won't cost a fortune.

Best regards,
Adam

These are gone. Can anyone recommend a regulated variable DC power supply that is around $150 or less? My Bottlehead kits have gotten me interested in electronics, so I am working my way through various practice exercises. I need a regulated variable DC power supply. I can use something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Philmore-Multi-Voltage-Regulated-Power-Supply/dp/B004M45MHQ/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top ($34) or even this: http://www.amazon.com/Velleman-Compact-Universal-Adapter-Supply/dp/B00068U44I/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top ($19), but I'm wondering whether it is worth springing for something like this: http://www.amazon.com/KORAD-KA3005P-Programmable-Precision-Adjustable/dp/B0085QLNFM/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1369683657&sr=1-1&keywords=variable+dc+power+supply ($105).

I don't want to overbuy and overspend if not necessary, but I'd rather not buy cheap now, and wind up buying the more expensive unit later anyway. What features should I look for? How useful are multiple outs? Any thoughts on this unit? http://www.elexp.com/tst_0033.htm#3002

If you have a dead pc around the house, there are instructions online to convert the power supply into a bench dc supply.  But, the outputs are 12, 5, & 3 V only. These are the most common used in basic electronics ( not in tube audio though).  This could be a very cheap option ( assuming the power supply is not the reason for the dead compter) . Also I should note that these supplies are not the cleanest DC supplies but good enough for basic electronics.
