Custom Phonostage by Paul Birkeland

You may remember the custom Murrow/Birkeland Linestage posted back in Oct/2009; and here it is again upgraded with TFTF V-caps and a small fan that draws air through the Phonostage up through both units. They are dead quiet, and have plenty of drive for headphone listening through the XLR connection on the front.

The octal sockets accommodate Peerless 4722 step up transformers for low output moving coils. When the 4722s are inserted, the MC inputs are used. If MM cartridge or hi-output MC is used, the 4722s are removed.
