Anyone know of a high quality but compact film cap I could use to replace the last 220 uF in the power circuit?
I'm looking to implement a choke on the crack as typically discussed here as well as replace the final power side capacitor with a film. My issue is real estate. I already have the speedball boards, film output caps with their own bypass, and space taken up by the PCB's used on my upgraded tube sockets in the same region of the box. There's not much space left once I add the choke even after I built a taller box to house the output caps. I suppose I could run long leads to the new capacitor and put it on the other side of the plate but I'd rather not. I am looking for a more compact solution. Any thoughts?
