Cathode capacitor, do I need one?

Hi! I'm in the middle of building a parallel feed amp with a 6W6 output tube and cathode bias. I plan to use it only above 100hz in a biamped system. Does the cathode resistor still need a capacitor across it? Can I leave it out to reduce the low frequency signal going to the main speakers?

That would probably work well. Return the output transformer to the cathode, not to ground, so that the bias resistor is not part of the midband signal current loop.
