All done, works great!  My headphone system (Crack/Speedball & Senn HD600) finally sounds as good as my speakers (Stereomour & DIY Tangband W8-1772)

Mods are Alps pot, shielded cable for inputs and pot wiring and Dayton 100 uF, 250 VDC poly coupling caps.

Nice clean build. I am a big fan of the Art Deco look. I like the logo on the end bell, I have always put the logos there but I can' remember seeing more than one other build with that. Enjoy.

Very nice build indeed. You certainly did a better job mounting those coupling caps than I did!

How did you do it? I don't see any zip ties or anything. Are you just letting them hang down, or did you somehow stick them to the chassis plate or....?

Best regards,
Adam

Thanks.

I first applied double stick tape to the plate to fix them.  Then I ran a fillet of silicone bathtub caulk between the cap and the plate on the outside only.  When the caulk set up it got real firm.
