What did you use as an umbilical?

They are most likely overkill for what we do but cannon connectors sure are nice. I used one for the umbilical on my 2A3 amp.

By the way, you can get a right angle strain relief for yours.

The cables and Amphenol connectors I used were salvage from a machine installation in LaGrange Ga.  They were tachometer cables (#16 AWG with a braded outer shield).  I forget why they were cut off and new connectors soldered on.  I got 6 of them, IIRC.  At Kimberly-Clark all signal wires had to be a minimum of 600V insulation.  

Overkill but I already had them.  I bought two receptacles, one for the Seduction and one for the FP 2.

I do like the 'Michael Jackson' cotton glove in the first photo. You are a man destined never to soil a tube with an oily fingerprint.

I use them because the tubes are hot.  My hands are extremely dry, very little oil there anyway.
