Came across the old thread today and thought I'd post this can't miss rec:

I like Gabrielli, but unfortunetly that I was unable to access that album on line. Too bad. Looks like fun. I did however discover yesterday the "Pristine Classical" web site. What a trip. Stayed up most of the night listening to re-mastered 1920''s recordings.  Another 9th to add to the three I already own.  Folks could really play the shit out of those instruments 90 years ago!
