BLACK FRIDAY-shipping cost

I want to take advantage of Black Friday deal and pull the trigger on two items, but when placed in shopping cart it seems like shipping costs are calculated separately for each item. Is that normal?

Yes, the kits are packed in separate boxes and thus each box has its own shipping rate.

I thought they would fit into one box... but it is what it is.

It is quite possible that they will go in the same box (it really, really, really, depends on specifics). If they do, and your shipping costs are lower than what you paid, you will get a refund.
