Yes, I know, this have been up so many times. Yet, I don't find the info I'm looking for.
There are so many Alps Blue to choose from. What does the 10/50/100/250/500k stand for?
Why is the 100K the preferred version?
Is this the one recommended: ALPS RK27112 Potentiometer 100K/1M Pot/Blue Velvet Japan?

Feel kinda stupid to ask these question, but I just want my Crack to deliver the best possible music experience.

Thanks!

I'd start with the stock pot.

RK27112 isn't quite a complete part number, you'd want a dual 100K log pot.  (Not reverse log)

100K is chosen for availability and being right in the sweet spot for performance.  50K will also work well.  Anything lower than 50K or higher than 100K may or may not present some issues.

It should work.  Do be aware that there are a lot of counterfeit versions of this pot, often times it's best to order from a dealer.
