-)) or online, and I don't even often read them (I used to), and I even more rarely come across something that really hits the nail on the head for me and just resonates with me and my sensibilities. In the last year or so I've found one particular publication that seems more than worth the read everytime I read an article from it -- that would be the defunct Sound Practices magazine. Now select articles from this mag are published in Enjoy the Music (along with VALVE articles) and this month's article reprint is probably one of the most enjoyable that I've ever read and to me captures the essence of what this whole DIY/Ultra-Fi thing is about, and exactly what I've been striving for in building and outfitting my own personal temple to music. So, from one artist/mad scientist to the others of similar bent out there, enjoy:
