300b recommendation without breaking the bank

Hi everyone,

One of the EH 300B on my BeePre 1 developed popping/crackling sound and I realized only half of the filament is lighting. Swapped tubes and yep, that one is most likely toast and the sad part is that the tube doesn't even have 2000 hour on it.
Anyways, if anyone can suggest replacement for the 300B without going bankrupt I'd be greatly appreciated. Looks like prices for EH doubled since I checked last time couple of years ago.
I also figured I better ask here first before I go ahead and purchase random pair of 300b online, since IIRC not all 300B tubes are supposed to be used in BP1.

Thanks,
Kris

I thought the Psvane 300Bs with the smoked glass sounded pretty nice in a recent shootout, and they aren't super crazy money either.

Is this a shootout you did and what were the contenders?  And what are the smoked glass Psvane tubes? Is it the PSVANE TREASURE Series 300B-Z? I like my Psvane that came with my BeePre2 last year but I have nothing to compare them to. Interested in trying out something new. Thanks.

We had all three of the EH offerings, Takatsuki, new WE, Sophia Carbon, the Psvane 300B-TII (this is the smoked glass one I referred to), and the bog standard Psvane 300B.

I am new to the world of 300b. And I like it. My question is if I need to be careful when seecting a alternative to the EH standard ed. that came with the kit. Examples of specs seem to differ slightly but not much: But will the tubes potentially damage to amp?
To be concrete I have picked a few that I want forum members opinion on. Comparison is the EH.
List
Electro Harmonix Gold 300b Gold Grits
PSvane Art 300b TII
PSvane ACME 300B
PSvane Horizon 300b AT

I have picked tubes that is affordable and in the lower end of the price range

Be kind to state if you have tried the tubes yourselves/listened to it, if it sitting in a BH Kaiju amp and what aspects of the sound makes you prefer one over another

Regards Pete
